Bogany serves as the association's top officer on the Texas Association of REALTORS@ Leadership Team.
With more than 33 years of real estate experience, Bogany has served the REALTOR@ family in many roles over the years. He served as chairman of the Houston Association of REALTORS@ in 2002 and was that association's REALTOR@ of the Year in 2004. He is passionate about affordable-housing initiatives, which is evident in his history of service to the state association. He has chaired the Texas Association of REALTORS@ Housing Initiatives Committee and was also chairman of the Equal Opportunity Committee. He also served on Mayor Turner's Housing Transition Team. During this time, he established relationship with other housing group to benefit the community regarding affordable housing.
Bogany served as a National Association of REALTORS director from 2001-2018. He also served as a director on the board of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHC) in 2001-2007. Shad assisted with the establishment and formulation of the partnership between TDHC and the Texas Association of Realtors, 117,000 members strong. The partnership created opportunities to educate consumers and realtors, lenders and other government elected officials about housing down payment programs. This partnership still exists to this day. Mr. Bogany has partnered with the Fort Bend Housing Finance Corporation and Harris County Housing Department in developing and producing Multiple Listing Service data to aid the community in making an accurate decisions to purchase the American dream of homeownership. He often speaks to churches and other nonprofit organization regarding the housing buying process. He has created relationship with loan officers to educate Section 8 tenants regarding homeownership programs. Mr. Bogany has spoken at the Texas Affordable Housing conference on building partnership with stakeholders, developers, lenders, and nonprofit agencies who are promoting workforce housing throughout the state of Texas. He frequently is asked to speak all over Texas regarding affordable housing programs. Recently, Shad was invited to speak to the National Council of Housing Agency regarding relationship and partnership in the housing community. He has worked with several neighborhoods explaining tax credits and benefits of workforce housing. He was chair of the Houston Area Urban League Community Development Corporation. We partnered with for-profit developers and built a 125 unit workforce housing project. Shad was elected in 2017 to the National Buffola Soldier Museum Board of Directors. His role is to create community partnership with the business community. and community. Bogany was recognized for his extensive service to the real estate industry with the prestigious National Association of REALTORS@ Omega Tau Rho award. Shad Bogany is constantly educating consumers on radio for 28 years.
